New Baby Kitty!

Our Ranch kitty Betsey went into labor the other day.  We really thought she was going to have several baby's. She only had one.  Sure hope it is a boy.  We wanted several boys to have around to help keep the snakes under control.  Guess we may have to look for a few males somewhere.

Fred has always loved playing in the pond.  even more so now that it has gotten hot.  He will just go stand in it.. If you throw a stick , he will fetch it and then just stay in the water.  Any time he is out running around with Brent or me, you have to watch him because he will run and get in it and then run up and shake on you.

The outside rabbits are doing great. The babies are growing so fast and loving being outside.  There are so many holes out there on both sides that you have to watch were you walk.  Several of the holes have covers over them just to help some when it rains.  When it is hot outside the rabbits are either in their holes or under the shelters to get out of the sun.

All the chickens , ducks, guinea's and turkeys are out and running now to help with the bug and critter control. The first set of baby's we hatched (16) are now out and running with everyone else now.  The second one's are on the floor in the cleaned and sanitized brooder room. There are 7 baby chicks and one baby guinea in there.

Last week Heath brought Levi out to Memaw and Papaw's to feed the ducks at their pond.  He had so much fun.  Betsey came out to get some loving while we were out there feeding.   After feeding the ducks we took him to the barn to see the baby rabbits and he was able to pet Bugs.

I planted a new Knock Out Rose that I bought on our way back from Denton.  The Yellow Knock Out , The Double Hot pink Knock Out and the Light pink Knock Out are all doing great and have been blooming non stop.  I have one more rose that is an Oklahoma Rose that is really starting to grow now and I sure hope it blooms this year, even though it is small.
The Black Eyed Susan I found blooming out in the field and my Water Lily has had 2 blooms on it so far this year.

Until next week,
The 2 Moore's Ranch

This weeks sunsets.

A few extra pics from the week.

A fresh cut lawn is so nice.

This was our first rattlesnake since being out here.  I had been working in the same flower bed getting the grass and weeds from behind the rose bushes where he was found.  Scared me to death.

  1. Everything is looking so good! Can't wait to see pics of your veggie garden when everything is up good. Fred looks like he is thoroughly enjoying the ducks' pond. Hope you don't find friends or relations to that rattlesnake.
