Still Packing!

    I believe that after living in this house longer than we have ever lived in any house (10 yrs.). This is going to take a little longer.

    Some people think we are plain crazy for buying boxes, but look how easy it is to stack them and keep them neat.  Three piles , small, medium and large. With the exception of the large pictures boxes that are behind the sofa and a few odd and in boxes. All the shelves and walls are empty now.  Been working on packing up the closets and drawers.  Really looking blah around here.

       Since I took the above pictures the stacks have grown.  There are also boxes stacked in the Office and our bedroom now. 

Packing

    Packing, Packing Packing!!!   Thats what I am doing , again.  :)  But this time working on getting the whole house packed up.  Right now the closing dates for our house is set for Feb. 2nd.  The house we are buying is set for the 29th of this month.  We really wish that there was a few more days in between the dates.  But what can you do.

    I have so far gotten all the curio cabinets and china cabinets packed along with the large shelving unit in the Living Room.  There are a few odds and ins that need to be packed and hope to get those done today and then move on to another room.

    Going to be a lot of fun getting all the critters moved.  We keep telling Robin she is going to be a country dog again.  Not to mention she will have another playmate after we move (new puppy).  The lady that is out there said she was going to leave the barn cat for us.  Will just have to see how that works out with the rabbits. They use to have chickens , so no problem there.

    Well, better get up and get to work!

The dream is getting closer!!!!

   We have had the inspection on the property done.  All looked good there except maybe a new water heater.
   Loan paperwork is just about done.  We were told should be finished tomorrow. The banks appraisal is tomorrow.  As long as everything with that is good , it is a go!!
   Cant wait to be able to sit in front of this!!!!

   Sunday we had to cancel an Open House because someone wanted a private showing.  They came back today and put in an offer for the house tonight.  It was under what we had asked so we will be countering for a little more.
    They want the closing to be Jan 20. So if all all goes well I will really need to get in gear and start packing.

    Just look at this kitchen.  So much fun!  Not big, but a lot of style.

 

    Well, Some things are moving right along.  We have a signed contract on the house we want to buy and we wrote all the checks that were needed for that.  We also have the inspections set for the 4th to have the house , well and septic checked.  Here's hoping they find nothing major and if they do it will be little things. The place we are looking at is on the left hand side of the road.  Long drive way and across the street you can see the 2 nearest neighbors.

    Now the big thing left is to find a buyer for our house .  Please pray that just the right person will come along and fall in love with our house and want to buy it.

    With all that we have been doing in our back yard here, the girls for eggs, the raised beds for food and raising the rabbits for food , we really want a bigger place.  Now we just cannot wait to put into action  all we have been doing here in a much larger space ( close to 5 acres). 

   We want to get about 6-8 more hens and a rooster and then more hens down the road and maybe sell eggs.  Get a few goats to eat the weeds down and maybe even for milk.

   Not to mention all the space out there, how many more rabbits we could raise.        

     Not much to blog about right now.  Still trying to buy a place in the country where we can raise more chickens, more rabbits and maybe even a few goats. 
     Also with all the land that would come with the house , just think of all the stuff we could grow!

     Still waiting here back about our offer we put in.  Sure hope and pray the accept it and then also that our house sale quickly.
