Run, Jump, Kick Baby Bunny!

The baby bunny's are now big enough that they were put on the floor. When you first put them down they run , jump in the air and just have tons of fun.  After the first day or so they start looking for the hiding spots. Usually the first place they all go is behind Pablo's cage, which is the picture at the bottom of the rabbit part.  I think there is 6 in that little cubby-hole behind his cage.

Now that all the baby's are on the floor, the momma rabbits are all outside.  There was some fighting going to see who is will be top rabbit out there.  I even found a large piece of white fur on the ground, not sure who that belonged too. I looked for Hershey and picked her up. She looked fine but really scared. They will all get use to being outside soon and will be friends soon.

The Wyandotte chickens and the ducks have been the lucky ones to free range as they know where home is. They have been running a good part of the ranch , which is really good.
The RIR's have not figured out they are suppose to go to the back yet where they are let out. The one time we let them out after they were moved, it was terrible trying to get them all back in. Even after dark we were finding a few that did not make it in.

The flowers are starting to bloom and get really pretty.   The Iris below is one I bought last year and it is so such a dark purple it looks black.
I just cant wait for all the seeds to come up this year and see all the flowers that bloom.

These are 2 Natchez Crepe Myrtles trees that our son gave me for Mothers Day. I love them so much!

Moving Time , Green Pastures and Storms

We finished the fences and finally got everyone moved to new homes. We did however put the new back rabbit fence up before we moved the cage that had some of the grow-out boys in it. First Brent put it on his sled and just pulled it by hand and then he brought the tractor in to do the heavy lifting.

After the rabbits were moved we did some clean- up of the yard and then fixed the fence (again) in some areas. That night the chickens were run into the barn and then I came out here and feed them so that they knew this was their new running area for the summer. Once they are use to it we will be letting them out to free range again.

The outside rabbits were moved over to the other side and they are loving it.  It is like a jungle to them.  Tall weeds and grasses.

The grasses and deer plots that were planted last year  and the seeds that we planted this spring are now where we can start cutting for the rabbits.  They are sure loving their rye grass and the clover , and other stuff that is coming up in it is a great treat for them. The baby's are sure loving it also, and it cuts down on the feed bill.  Once the deer plot area that was planted this spring comes up good the ducks and chickens can come back out and free range during the day and eat bugs and critters and scare off others.

Fred roams around looking for cotton tails.

Bugs waiting for his greens.

We have had a few good storms come through here and have have some much needed rain.  We did the other day, have our lights go off for the first time since we have lived out here.

Baby's Are All Growing So Fast !

The baby's rabbit's are growing so fast.  Their eye's are open now. They are also jumping in and out of the nesting boxes. Pop , pop , pop! It is like a game to them , but at feeding time we have to count to make sure that everyone is accounted for.

Bella's

Hershey's

Jasmine's

Duchess's
We have had a some storms roll through and bring some much needed rain.  It is very helpful as we did not have to go out and move the sprinklers all the time. All the stuff we have planted out in the fields are coming up great now.  Also after the storms we some awesome sunsets . We also were blessed with a few Rainbows.

I know, I post a lot of sunset pics.  But , we sure get our share of wonderful sunsets and sunrise's.
